We're bringing sexy back
Recently, the course crew has been working on a project that delights us «golf nerds».
As you know, Holtsmark Golf is over 20 years old. Over the course of 20 years, there will naturally be some changes to the course. Where it is mowed, there will be changes over the years.
The course crew is now working to bring back our original greens. That is, the way the greens were designed. Through many years of mowing, these «mowing zones» will naturally change and slip out a little.
In the images below you will see pictures of the greens on holes 18 and 16. As you can see, the design of the greens has changed a lot over the years.
Going forward, the course crew will work on cutting down the grass that needs to be cut and letting the grass that needs to be cut grow. The result will be that we get back the original shapes of our greens. As you can imagine, this is not something that happens overnight, but a project that takes some time. However, it will be incredibly good when we are done.
